Early Life and Musical Beginnings

Adrienne Eliza Bailon was born on October 24, 1983, in New York City to Puerto Rican mother Nilda, American father Freddie, and stepfather Joe. Her musical journey began at a young age, where she would sing with her older sister Claudette in family and friend gatherings.

Breakthrough with 3LW

In 1999, Bailon's life took a remarkable turn when she performed with a church choir at Madison Square Garden. Puerto Rican singer Ricky Martin invited her to join as a backing vocalist for his concert that evening. This opportunity led her to join the R&B group 3LW in 2000, alongside Naturi Naughton and Kiely Williams. Their debut album went double-platinum.

The Cheetah Girls

Bailon's career reached new heights when she was cast in the Disney Channel series "The Cheetah Girls" in 2003. Together with Sabrina Bryan, she formed the girl group The Cheetah Girls, creating multi-platinum music and soundtracks for the film's sequels.

Acting and Television Appearances

In addition to her music career, Bailon has also pursued acting. She starred in Disney Channel's "Taina Gia," "Buffalo Dreams," and "Taylor Made." She also appeared in the films "Coach Carter," "All You've Got," and "Cuttin' da Mustard."

Later Career and Personal Life

In 2007, The Cheetah Girls released their first official album as a group. Bailon went on to star in the second installment of "The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants" and the third "Cheetah Girls" film. In 2013, she married rapper Israel Houghton. Bailon has since continued to pursue her passions in music and television, hosting shows such as "The Real" and "RuPaul's Drag Race All Stars."
