Biography of Romina Power
Romina Power is an Italian singer who was born into a wealthy family of the famous Italian actor Tyrone Power from the 1930s and 1940s. Tyrone Power starred in blockbuster movies such as "In Old Chicago," "Suez," "Witness for the Prosecution," and "Blood and Sand."
Early Life and Career
Romina Power grew up in a privileged household and showed remarkable vocal talent from a young age. When she turned 18, the young and charming American girl traveled to Italy in 1969 to pursue her musical education. It was in Italy that she met Al Bano Carrisi, a 25-year-old singer and festival host who was already famous at the time. They started to be seen together more frequently, and their passionate romance culminated in their wedding on July 26, 1970.
Family Life
In the same year of their marriage, Romina and Al Bano welcomed their first child, a daughter named Ilenia. Three years later, Romina gave birth to their son, and a few years after that, they had two more daughters. Despite Romina's upbringing in the United States with a completely different background, her love for her husband was so strong that she wholeheartedly embraced the Italian way of life. Al Bano, who grew up in a household with a patriarchal Catholic structure, assumed the role of the classic head of the family.
Personal Challenges and Pursuits
After the breakdown of their personal relationship, but still being legally married, Al Bano and Romina initially did not reveal that their shared life was over. However, this changed when reporters spotted Al Bano in an embrace with Slovak journalist Gabriela Skrabakova. It turned out that they had met in Vienna in November 1998 when Skrabakova interviewed Al Bano. Gabriela's confession deeply touched the singer, as she revealed that she first saw him at a concert in Bratislava when she was just 15 years old, and had loved him ever since.
Meanwhile, Romina had also moved on from her previous hardships. At the age of 48, she became more active than ever before. After filing for divorce from Al Bano, Romina purchased a magnificent house in the prestigious Trastevere district of Rome. She continued to act in films, participate in TV shows both in Italy and America, write books, and explore her talent in painting. Romina's passion for painting led her to meet a 25-year-old English artist named Jonathan Bishop.
