Synopsis

They Went There For A Bit Of...Sport?

In this sophomoric comedy, a lusty adolescent British hockey team heads for Holland where they find something far more interesting than tulips and windmills: gorgeous, lusty women. They are so busy pursuing romance that they forget all about their upcoming match.

  • Watching Colin Firth, Timothy Spall, James Wilby, Daniel Chatto, Robert Addie and Adrian Lukis, all actors pushing thirty at the time, trying to convince as teenage public schoolboys is an absolute chore.

    Irritating, broadly played TV movie that presumably hoped to give a British spin on the raging hormones teen comedies that the US churned out in the era. That alone ought to tell you that this enterprise is fatally flawed long before you're asked to suspend your disbelief in the casting.

    Really enjoyed the shots of the city and of course the shots of Colin Firth. Went to bed on the verge of tears when he didnt kiss the girl and didnt punch Phillip. 😛😛
