Christopher Macchio, (Italian:&#;['kristofɛr 'mak:io]; born 1 August )[1] is an American operatic Tenor and Classical Crossover vocalist. He recently rose to prominence after a live-televised performance from the south balcony of the White House[2] on the final night of the Republican National Convention.[3] His career has also included special guest appearances with an eclectic list of artists from various genres, including performances with legendary producer and songwriter David Foster[4], Rock & Roll Hall of Fame inductee Sir Rod Stewart[5], Country Music Hall of Fame inductee Larry Gatlin[6] of the Gatlin Brothers, and many others. He is also one of the three members of the New York Tenors, a classical crossover trio that also includes Tenor Daniel Rodriguez[7], who rose to national prominence as the "singing policeman" in the aftermath of the terrorist attacks, and Irish crooner Andy Cooney. After attending the Manhattan School of Music Conservatory, his career began in earnest upon being signed to a record contract with EMI (on it's Manhattan Records label), as part of a PBS television concert special entitled "Bell'Aria: Live from Las Vegas", which aired on various PBS affiliates for the holiday season. Consisting of three female and to male voices, the concept ensemble was envisioned as an Italian-American spin on the highly-successful "Celtic Woman" concept, being produced and promoted by many of the same music-industry figures. The concert special was well-received in the markets in which it aired, though funding was ultimately pulled when it's parent label (EMI) went bankrupt in [8]

In the years since, Mr. Macchio has continued to appear in a variety of public and private performances across the United States and Europe, including 7 sold-out

ensemble performances on the main stage at Carnegie Hall,[9] the David Geffen Theater at Lincoln Center[10], and the legendary Apollo Theater[11] in Harlem, New York.

Mr. Macchio is also active in many philanthropic endeavors, including well-publicized performances for the Stephen Siller Tunnel To Towers organization which

donates smart-homes to wounded and/or disabled U.S. Military veterans and first responders across the United States.
